Finally Arrived!

After almost 3 months of waiting my Amy Butler 'Frenchy Bags' pattern finally arrived! : )

April Challenge Card

This is the card ive made for the April challenge for the MSN group i belong to to. This months challenge was to make a flap card. The fist image is of the card when closed, the second is the card open and the third is of the gift card/money pocket behind another flap.

March Challenge Card

This is the card i made for the March challenge for the msn group i belong to. The card was to have a name on it. So for mine i put my brothers name on as it was his birthday last week. The letters are cut out of acetate, i painted them with metallic paints on both sides. The letters were stuck on the card using foam squares just to make the letters stand out a bit more.

Two new cards - Easter

I made these two cards yesterday. I've used the free stamps from the April issue of 'Cardmaking and Papercraft'. I've coloured in the images using watercolours. For the top card I've used acetate as the base card and placed a piece of green paper directly behind the front so it covers the double sided tape. For the bootom card i've added the same flower paper inside the card for the insert and added the butterfly embellishments - with out them the card looked quite plain.

Been having a play with..

The ribbon tool which i got on Saturday. Made two flowers -well one looks like a flower not so sure about the other one.

Good Weekend

I had a good weekend (well Saturday!) My mum and I had a girlie day out in Glasgow, where we went to the Creative Stitches and Hobbycraft Show at the SECC. We had a fab time looking round all the stalls. Got so many ideas for cardmaking. I picked up a few goodies. I got - a clear away tray, some Flower Soft (Sweet Pea) , a Decoupage sheet, a ribbon stripper for doing this, and also a counted cross stitch called 'Weekend in Paris'.
They also had this cool 'Kinitted Gingerbread House' there. It was very impressive all the details they had thought of. You read more about it here .

Mother's Day card

I made another card today. I made my mum's mothers day card.
I usually make her cards using the same colours - pinks, lilacs or cream- so i thought i'd make it green.

The top flower is a creamy colour and the second flower is a lovely green. I've used a silver heart brad to fasten them to the card. The strip of paper is light green and i've embossed it with stylizeed flowers. Then i added green gems.

New card

This is a card that I've made today, it was meant to be my 'Mother's Day' card for my mum but I'm going to make her another one.

I've used two large flowers and fastened them with a heart brad - the brad was silver so i just coloured it gold with a gold pen- the paper behind the flowers has been embossed with the cuttlebug 'stylized flower' and the gold paper behind that is crinkled. I then added four amber coloured gems to the corners.

Ive been waiting for my Amy Bultler bag pattern to arrive and it hadnt by today so i decided to phone the company i ordered it from and guess what - it hasnt been shipped because they dont have any in stock!!!When they emailed me to say it had been shipped they realised they had put the wrong pattern in my order! They're waiting on more stock of the pattern which could be another 3 weeks! I've just the kept order open as i was really excited about the pattern.

I made this card using the 'stylized flowers' cuttlebug embossing folder. I've embossed the base card and matched up the design when placing the lilac paper onto the card.

February Challenge Card

This is my card for the February challenge for the msn group i belong to - we have a monthly challenge.This months challenge was to use stitched peel offs. For those who dont know - you put the peel off onto card, then pierce the marked dots with a sharp needle, then stitch!

I'm sure if i like it or not. I may have to change it before i enter it.

Ive ordered an Amy Butler "Frenchy Bags" pattern and ive just recieved an email to say its been shipped! so excited! lol

the first post : )

I've never had a blog before,so im a newbie! I will hopefully update my blog reguarly with the things ive made - i'm quite crafty so there should be a lot of posts! lol
